Hi this is Lizzie and Solana. We have both stepped on cracks and nothing has happened to us or our moms. Solana: My mom has broke her tail bone, but never her back!
Lizzie: My Mom hasn't broken any bones and I have stepped on lots of cracks.
We don't think it was your fault. How long did you not step on cracks for?

Well, when I was little, I would never step on a crack. Maybe you have heard the expression "Step on a crack and break your mother's back"? I was terrified of this idea and would go out of my way to avoid cracks in the pavement and even tiled floors! This meant a lot of stretching my legs out as I walked and I probably looked very goofy.
My mum is 80 years old and has never broken her back. She did break her leg, though...maybe it was my fault?

That seems fun. We did that in kindergarten. I wish we could still do it. IT also it looks like you brought stuffed animals too.

How exciting to find your blog! I look forward to sharing your book reviews with our class next week. Thanks so much for sharing your thoughts on the books you are reading. I hope it will encourage my students to write book reviews of their own! Continue the great work.

Love the video looks like your students had a whole lot of fun, in New Zealand we don't really celebrate Halloween a whole lot, its only something that has started in the last few years, really like your class blog its nice and user friendly, will get some of our students to have a look at it today!

Hi Ms. Smith,
I was wondering, was your class last year the only class that had edublogs? Or are last years class the only classes that have one?

Hi Mr. Fletcher, thanks for stopping by. I have inherited a group of willing, passionate readers. They really value our silent reading time each day. You can tell by their reviews on their individual blogs that they have strong feelings about the books they choose. I am investigating using SHELFARI as a place to post reviews of books. Right now we are big on "word of mouth", informal "this is a great book because..." conversations at the end of silent reading. I am not familiar with Accelerated Reader. I do need to make more time for conferences...ah, must create more islands of time!
